About me
I build medical technology that surgeons actually use.
For 7 years I've worked the full arc of a healthcare product — lab → operating room → revenue. I started in research (IIT Bombay, then Johns Hopkins), co-founded a 3D-printed implant company, and took it from zero to $1M ARR on ISO 13485 manufacturing. I'm most useful in the zero-to-one stage: ambiguous, resource-constrained, the part where the job is to find product–market fit, build the team, and make the handful of calls that turn a clinical insight into a business.
Today I'm doing that again with Nuevata: surgical intelligence for open surgery.
Core Competencies
Experience

Nuevata—Surgical Intelligence Platform
2025 – Present
Cofounder & Director
Building an AI-powered surgical intelligence platform: a 4K head-mounted capture device paired with SaaS analytics that quantifies surgical actions, measures proficiency, and delivers post-operative insight.
Architecting the full stack — capture hardware, cloud video processing, and AI analytics for open surgical specialties
Designing the surgical video library, live-streaming engine, and tele-mentorship layer that lets expertise scale beyond the room.
Leading the raise: investor materials, financial model, and unit economics across a multi-stream model (device sales, SaaS subscriptions, enterprise events, data services).

LUCID Implants
2019 – Present
Cofounder & Director
Hands-on founder-operator who built an end-to-end, surgeon-centric pipeline for patient-specific 3D-printed craniomaxillofacial and orthopaedic implants; drove 6× revenue growth, achieved ISO manufacturing scale, and sustained EBITDA-positive performance.
Grew revenue from ₹0 to ₹7 Cr ARR and a pipeline of ~100 monthly orders by building the commercial go-to-market engine.
Scaled from bench prototype to ISO 13485 cleanroom production (metal & polymer additive manufacturing), lifting planned capacity from 288 to 4,032 units/year.
Secured MoUs with tertiary hospitals and teaching institutes (AIIMS Raipur, GDC Nagpur, HCG, KIMS) and converted them into recurring contracts and government tenders.
Built a 50+ authorised distributor network and the surgeon-engagement programmes that drove onboarding and repeat orders.
Led investor engagement and term-sheet negotiation for ~₹2 Cr in angel funding for cleanroom build-out and capex.
Baltimore, USA
Johns Hopkins University
2018
Visiting Researcher
Invited for research on bioinspired materials and healthcare 3D printing. The findings became the technical basis for founding LUCID.
Researched bioinspired materials and advanced 3D-printing for clinical applications under faculty mentorship; translated the experimental work into a viable clinical pathway.
Nagpur, India
BETiC, IIT Bombay
2017 – 2019
Researcher
Led transdisciplinary research on bioactive bone scaffolds using hydroxyapatite (HA) and β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) via additive manufacturing.
Engineered patient-matched porous scaffolds tuned for osteoconductivity and controlled resorption.
Ran the full translational pipeline: in-vitro characterisation, in-vivo animal studies, and clinical case studies showing bone regeneration.
Turned the research into a manufacturing protocol — the direct foundation for LUCID.
